Practice Focus – Family Law

Brittany Love advises clients on various matters of domestic law. Ms. Love has extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation, but has now focused her practice on family law and navigating families through difficult and emotional circumstances. Her practice includes child custody and child support establishment and enforcement; divorce; equitable distribution; alimony and post-separation support; and enforcement of settlement agreements and court orders through breach of contract and contempt actions.

Ms. Love spent her first five years of practice in Cabarrus County, where she held several leadership positions within the local bar association. She is currently a member of the Young Lawyer and Family Law divisions of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, in addition to being a member of Women Lawyers of Charlotte. Ms. Love excelled in trial advocacy from a young age, being named a South Carolina All-State Mock Trial Attorney in high school, a National All-American Mock Trial Attorney in college, and receiving the top award in Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy while at Wake Forest Law. Ms. Love coached Wake Forest’s undergraduate mock trial teams throughout her three years in law school. Ms. Love is an active Kiwanian who spends a majority of her free time volunteering with and mentoring youth in her community. Prior to law school, Ms. Love taught high school mathematics in Mecklenburg County through Teach for America at West Charlotte High School.
